Everyone has a guilty pleasure.
You don’t? OK, yours is lying. Nobody’s perfect after all…
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not either.
Now, when it comes to why I write, I could tell you that it is a kind of physical and mental need. Like an urge to break out of the everyday and dive into places where anything can happen. A safe way of escaping the ordinary, creating spaces where I feel free, and letting my characters do the same. But if you ask me what is the most intriguing part of writing, it is how stories shape themselves. Like they have their own life. Like I’m just the one watching and writing it all down.
Talking ’bout my characters, I’m particularly fascinated by powerful females — their boldness and their contradictions. Their capability to break stereotypes, displaying physical strength and attractiveness. Their skills in power dynamics. But also their weakness and conflicts, in a complex, mysterious, yet charming world where they rule.
The most exciting thing about writing is that I still don’t know what is going to happen, but something will for sure — and I promise I’ll do my best to write it down for you.
Anything else about me?
“I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.”
